MARTIAL ARTS

{R}EVOLUTION

No styles, no systems, no rituals, no lineages, no masters, no labels, no belts, no katas, no uniforms, no dogmas;

Only the process of self actualization & personal expression of truth through functional combative movement and fitness.

On a purely physical level, we share how to individually and collectively use all of our natural tools as well as extended ones, offensively and defensively in a strategic and tactical manner and in all ranges of combat.

We're put through functional physical fitness training where we learn to push ourselves through our own perceived limitations. We also have much to offer on nutrition, health and optimum performance.

On a more cerebral level we learn about the psychology of violence, fear, stress & confrontation management skills, deescalation strategies and holistic survival tactics.

As the mind navigates the body; by challenging personal self defense dogmas and individual & core belief systems, personal growth and evolution occurs.

On a human level, we learn about the ripple effect and the moral, legal, and ethical consequences of our chosen actions while self examining our darkest emotions. We are encouraged to question everything, to learn to think for ourselves, to be more accountable and research everything we learn and to be open and responsive to life without judgment.

On a personal level, the training can make you face and slay your own demons.

Everything shared here is highly encouraged to be individually researched, to “absorb what is useful, add what is specifically of your own and disregard the rest.”

Hypocrisy of Ignorance & Stupidity

Though I try and grasp the essence of "all is as it should be" and live by it I still sometimes can't help but get frustrated with the amount of sheer self induced ignorance of some of our fellow species.

I love how people reprimand others for their bad habits such as drinking or smoking or the recreational use of drugs while they daily induce themselves with processed foods, sugars, fructose, artificial sweeteners and literally countless additives and preservatives and pesticides.

The reality of it is, the truth is the daily foods most people consume are directly responsible for the majority of diseases and deaths in first world countries today.  Add to that a sedentary lifestyle and perhaps alcohol and tobacco to the processed food list and you make yourself a prone candidate for cancer.

Most people fear cancer more than anything else, everyone knows someone who has been directly affected by the disease. Yet the vast majority continue their daily gamble with life and death. The truth is, if you live in a first world country; you are much more likely to die of cancer or heart disease than die in a violent encounter or terrorist attack yet I travel the world teaching self protection and martial arts and see literally millions of martial artists and fighters and self defense practitioners and teachers alike who are damaging themselves a thousand times more than any "bad guy" ever will or would yet they spend so much time and money on martial arts training and clothes and paraphernalia all the while poisoning themselves in the process.

They are in a constant state of worry that someone else will try and hurt or attack them yet they hurt themselves so much more than anyone ever would or has. And that is another reality. It's not just martial artists and self defense practitioners either... it's everyone, it's you,  it's me, it's everybody because NOBODY will ever hurt you  more than you. Ever.

All that is fine too, if not for the fucking hypocrisy....

Forget alcohol for a second... that's way to obvious a fucking hypocrisy. That's too "in your face" as it were.  The reality of it is that a can of Coca Cola is much more harmful and addictive to the human body than marijuana.

As per my bro Scott Sonnon wrote:

"There is a vast sea of research suggesting that it is. Science has now shown us, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that sugar in your food, in all its myriad of forms, is taking a devastating toll on your health.

The single largest source of calories for Americans comes from sugar—specifically high fructose corn syrup. Just take a look at the sugar consumption trends of the past 300 years:[1]

In 1700, the average person consumed about 4 pounds of sugar per year.
In 1800, the average person consumed about 18 pounds of sugar per year.
In 1900, individual consumption had risen to 90 pounds of sugar per year.
In 2009, more than 50 percent of all Americans consume one-half pound of sugar PER DAY—translating to a whopping 180 pounds of sugar per year!
Sugar is loaded into your soft drinks, fruit juices, sports drinks, and hidden in almost all processed foods—from bologna to pretzels to Worcestershire sauce to cheese spread. And now most infant formula has the sugar equivalent of one can of Coca-Cola, so babies are being metabolically poisoned from day one if taking formula.

No wonder there is an obesity epidemic in this country.

Today, 32 percent of Americans are obese and an additional one-third are overweight. Compare that to 1890, when a survey of white males in their fifties revealed an obesity rate of just 3.4 percent. In 1975, the obesity rate in America had reached 15 percent, and since then it has doubled.

Carrying excess weight increases your risk for deadly conditions such as heart disease, kidney disease and diabetes.

In 1893, there were fewer than three cases of diabetes per 100,000 people in the United States. Today, diabetes strikes almost 8,000 out of every 100,000 people.[1]

You don't have to be a physician or a scientist to notice America's expanding waistline. All you have to do is stroll through a shopping mall or a schoolyard, or perhaps glance in the mirror."

Check these facts out:

Consider the fact that over 8.5 million deaths per year in America alone are directly related to Obesity, Diabetes, Cancer and Heart Disease and somehow, everything that causes these diseases are not only all perfectly legal, but purposefully and intentionally manufactured and sold; socially accepted and perfectly fine to not only consume but give to our children with smiles on our faces.

Handing your child a can of coke or a jelly bean or a Popsicle or anything artificially sweetened is literally like handing them a cigarette or offering them a line of cocaine.  It's just that we've been so fucking dumbed down to accept social poisons and people are generally so fucking stupid and lazy that they'll put their trust and faith and health in the powers that be when it is the fucking powers that be that are telling us that these things are fine and harmless.

Aspartame and other artificial sweeteners are FDA APPROVED AND RECOMMENDED AND CAN BE FOUND IN THE MAJORITY OF CHILDREN'S FOODS INCLUDING BABY FORMULAS FOR FUCKS SAKE. Artificial sweeteners are proven to be highly detrimental to one's health and it is purposefully put in children's foods.  The FDA considers french fries a vegetable folks and pizza a healthy part of a nutritious diet.

Fucking wake up.

The hypocrisy is astounding. The lack of knowledge, ignorance and sheer stupidity of it all is even more astounding.  It's painful to see a mother hand her child a diet soda or processed food or high fructose/sugar/artificially sweetened foods.  It bewilders me even more when I ask them "Do you know what's in that?" as they are handing it to their kids to eat and they reply "I don't want to know!"

And then people get offended when they are called sheep or blind followers yet most people live this way.... how many times has someone handed me some garbage to eat and as I began to look at the ingredients they quickly retort "Oh don't read em or you won't eat it." What the FUCK IS THAT ALL ABOUT?!?!?

The fuck do you expect with garbage like this pic above?  Talk about the retardation of humanity and human evolution.  Wow. "A free thinker is satan's slave". Fuck me I don't know whether to laugh or cry. The amount of shit we peddle that suppresses our specie's evolution is fucking flabbergasting.

Anyway... by cleaning up your nutrition you will be killing several birds with 1 big mother fuckin stone and here's how you can and will change the world simply by cleaning up your diet:

1. Depending on your level of health and toxicity from your lifestyle, it may take up to 2 weeks to "detox" where you will feel like shit, headaches, nausea, light headedness etc. that's normal, getting off sugar is like getting off of Heroine.  But once you've cleaned up, you will feel like a new person, your levels of energy alone will astound you.  The possibility and probability of things like cholesterol, irritable bowel syndrome, bloating, constipation and even things like diabetes and other dis-eases and disease will greatly diminish and/or vanish entirely.

2. Because you will feel better, look better and be healthier, you will also discover new things about yourself and many new activities which in turn will lead you to a much healthier and happier lifestyle.  You will also be adding many quality years with your children and eventually grand children.

3. Where you spend your dollar speaks volumes. You will also be shopping more locally, eating real food instead of the processed pseudo fillers being passed off as food.  You will be supporting organic local farmers and good people while telling those that poison us with their shit where to stick it.  By stopping to give your hard earned money to other people so they can poison you, make you sick, fat and sedentary and giving it to local organic farmers so they can make you healthier and better and happier, you're sending a powerful message to the fast and processed food industry and if you have children, you won't raise a slave.

4. Taking the time to eat right and properly means taking the time to cook and make your own food and that on its own makes a world of difference.  The intention behind the food, the energy in which the food is being made makes a scientifically proven difference in both the nutrition value and flavor of the food. Food made with love is much, much tastier and healthier than food just made.

Food and water/liquid molecules actually change and altered for either the better or worst depending on the intention and energy behind it.  Sounds crazy I know but tests were done (try it for yourself) where 2 separate containers of rice were placed in 2 separate sections of a home (rice came from the same batch).  One container was spoken to with love for X amount of days while the other was spoken to with hate and anger.

The container with love remained white, clean and untouched while the container  with hate began to rot, mold and discolor.  Same thing with water... so making your own food and making it with love makes a world of difference on your health... it's also why for many, many people; no one cooks better than their mom or wives.... because that food is made with genuine love and care....

5. Taking the time to cook with your family, friends or partners also brings people, you, closer to each other.  It brings people together as opposed to eating out of a bag, in front of the TV or on the run.... it forces a different lifestyle and reminds you there is more to life than working and making money.  There are people there too....

So by taking the time to clean your nutrition up, simply by eating real, organic clean food and making yourself healthier and happier and by making a conscientious decision on where you spend your dollar YOU WILL INDEED BE CHANGING THE WORLD FOR THE BETTER.

Imagine that.... you can change the world by bettering yourself....how novel... instead of just quoting or thumb upping quotes from people like Gandhi "Become the change you want to see in the world." you'll actually be living the words too...
